Though there will be a natural emphasis on supporting the business innear the person’s home country the role is to cover MENA so a level of travel is to be expected.   Business Unit Business Solutions Consulting Reports to VP Business Solutions EMEA Specialty Domain Enterprise Asset Management amp Asset health Solutions The Business Solution Consultants ‘BSC’ formerly ‘Presales’ will be required to work as part of the sales team working closely with the sales reps and account managers in articulating the business value and solution offerings of Ventyx to customers and prospects. The BSC is a key part of the sales engagement model and will help qualify opportunities build customer rapport and facilitate customerprospect software evaluations such as RFx and Demonstrations.  The BSC will work closely with the sales account managers representatives on specific opportunities in the sales pipeline.  They have a direct contribution on a daily basis to learning about the customer requirementsdrivers ‘Discovery’ alignment of the solution to the customer requirements the sales opportunity strategy and the delivery of any presentations proposals and demonstrations.  A BSC should have a detailed knowledge of the productsolution offering that is their deemed areas and as such should be able to present to the prospect as the product specialist. The BSC is a professional role in Ventyx and BSC’s are expected to be selfmotivated proactive and mature in their work ethic. Skills for a BSC fall into 4 core areas Product Knowledge – Knowledge of product area detailed understanding of how to configure and demonstrate functional capability as well as weakness areas. Familiarity or experience in the software ‘category’ and competitive solutions strengths and weaknesses. Sales Capability – Understanding of the Ventyx sales methodology based on TAS Target Account Selling  ability to articulate the sales issues identify ‘red flags’ and share opinionsuggestion onsales plan. Able to contribute to the sales opportunity planning process Communication Skills – Effective communication skills in engaging with customers and prospects. A major part of a BSC is to build rapport and perform ‘Discovery’ a BSC should be capable in questioning techniques able to lead workshops and guide a customers’ thinking. Essential skills in presentation demonstration and writing proposals to best position Ventyx are mandatory. Solution Knowledge – ‘Solutioning’ is the ability to relate a customer’s business issues to a Ventyx solution comprising of two or more components as well as possible third party solutions.  Understanding of multiple software technologies customer business processes and an ability to relate the solution to key ‘value points’ for the customer. Technical solution architect skills of understanding integration methods technologies data management principles and enterprise application strategies around security data warehousing data mastering and middleware as well as implementation strategies all have application at least at a high–level here. The BSC may also be involved in other duties from time to time including marketing events user groups product design process and account management.   The role is accountable for the following activities Assisting the global sales team with presales support in new business and customer growth strategies which are directly related to revenue generation Working closely with the global sales force in opportunity identification and qualification Participating in the development of sales strategies for new business and customer growth and assisting to implement these as successful sales campaigns Utilising analytical and diagnostic skills to match user requirements and Ventyx solutions Presenting Ventyx’s solution across the Ventyx’s Industry Verticals and across all levels of the target organisation Undertaking prospect ‘Discovery’ including research calls and face to face workshops to uncover key business drivers and customer buying criteria Maintaining indepth knowledge of Ventyx solutions Participation in individual and team presentations and demonstrations Lead a sales opportunity from a BSC perspective participate in ‘discovery’ and communicate and coordinate with other BSC’s and Ventyx stakeholders to complete tenders and demonstrations Assistance in tender responses as required Representing Ventyx at nominated industry and marketing functions MentorEducate Professional Services Consultants in order to impart industry and product positioning to enhance their skills for presales assistance BSC’s should maintain a knowledge of the broad industry software category they specialise in including competition strengths and weaknesses
